So This Just Happened

This post is so tragically awesome, I don’t even know where to begin. Actually, I do…

Raise your hand if you remember the short lived MTV production called, The Ashlee Simpson Show? If not, Ashlee had a on-again-off-again boyfriend named Ryan Cabrera . He was the one who always looked like he stuck his finger in a light socket. Yeah, him.

The hair…

Ryan went on to be known for his one hit wonder, “On The Way Down“. Besides briefly dating Audriena Patridge from “The Hills,” we haven’t seen much from our friend.

Until today.

This afternoon at work, my co-worker sent me a link to Perez Hilton (not generally the type of site I find myself on, but this one ignited my interest).

She said, “Ryan Cabrera got Ryan Gosling tattooed on his body.” I’m sorry… WHAT?

Yes, those are flamingo socks. Yes that is Ryan’s face on Ryan’s body.

How could you disgrace our blessed Ryan Gosling like that?!

According to Perez, Ryan stated that the tattoo was a result of a game he was playing with his friends. AWKWARD.

“[My friends] like to play a game called tattoo roulette. We blindfold each other: ‘You get to pick a tattoo for me, and I get to pick a tattoo for you. And you don’t get to see it ’till they’re both done.'”

That sounds like the worst game in recorded history. I would rather suck Joe Rogan’s toe on Fear Factor.

Honey Boo Boo knows exactly what I mean

In closing, Ryan you’re 30, and you are still wearing the same hairstyle you rocked in ’04. Puh-lease find a new one, seriously. Not cute. Also, we see you’ve had a little bit of work done, can you blink? Or does it hurt?

Also, Taylor Swift is single.

TMI: Magnus Bane Forgets His Pants & Flirts with MTV

Recently Godfrey Gao met up with our favorite movie nerd Joshua Horowitz, for a little onset interview.

WATCH -> MTV First Look: Magnus Bane

Can we talk about how tall Godfrey is?! Also, Godfrey-> Magnus? I think they picked the guy with the best name. Seriously How often do you meet people named Godfrey AND how often do you meet people named Magnus? Not that often!
I know I shouldn’t be shocked that this is Magnus’–Sorry– Godfrey’s first interview in English and not in Mandarin, but I am. I really thought his accent was Latin.  I know, I know you’re all probably like “Hello, Jmac. Does he look Latin?!” And no, he doesn’t but I thought maybe he pulled a Paolo Nutini and his ethnicity is from one place and he was raised in, oh I don’t know, Madrid??

I am way off topic here. Anyways…

The best line out of that whole interview was:

“It’s really cold,” Godfrey said, all smiles. “At first, I was like, ‘All right, I thought this party was going to be an indoor mansion with a lot of lights and chandeliers like you see in back.’ Turns out, it’s outside, and it’s actually, I think, 11 degrees Celsius, so I’m just hanging out with my boxers on and everyone sees … I have great legs. But it’s very fun to play Magnus Bane, as you can see.”

This guy is great. If you all didn’t know, this is my number one favorite YA series which is totally funny ( in an ironic way). I am so stoked for this movie and with every new still or snippet I am more accepting of Jamie Campbell Bower as the character of Jace.

What do you think of Godfrey as Magnus?

MTV’s Josh Horowitz Visits TMI set

As you may know, we here at justjmac are slightly…maybe…Ok we’re really excited for the upcoming book-to-movie The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.

We also really love the only good thing MTV has going for them, the journalist (and professional badass nerd) Joshua Horowitz  (@JoshuaHorowitz).

Josh recently visited the set of TMI: City of Bones and it’s like a mixture of awesomeness.

Teen Mom

I was just reminded of my disdain for MTV’s Teen Mom.
I’ve tried several times to watch it and 16 and pregnant.
These shows make me so angry. I usually end up yelling names at the people on my screen and/or demand for such shit to be turned off.
Harsh, I know, but the people on these shows are so ignorant. And oh my gee, are they the biggest white trash.

Gasping at my name calling? I don’t care, they are.

I watched an epi where the mom and daughter both had babies at the same time and both boyfriends lived with them in a TWO BEDROOM house. Classy broads.

One of the girls had a baby and her boyfriend lived with them but he had his license taken away so he had to walk everywhere or catch rides with his dad
…I see why you chose him as your baby daddy, he’s a winner.

Plus, Farrah from Teen Mom made the most idiotic tweet yesterday. She directed a tweet toward Kourtney Kardashian, 32, who’s having her second child with boyfriend Scott Disick. Farrah said something about Kourtney not learning anything from Teen Mom.

Kourtney responded with telling her she might look young but she’s 32.

The whole thing was so laugh worthy and reminded me of what idiots are filmed over at MTV.

Don’t get me started on Jersey Shore.

Oh my goodness, even typing this makes me irritated.

2011 VMA Wrap Up

I spent the greater part of last night watching the MTV Video Music Awards. The one night that MTV acts like it still cares about music. I was torn between True Blood and The VMA’s. I chose VMA’s because I really wanted to see the sneak peak of The Hunger Games and True Blood plays twice a day everyday.

First of all, Lady Gaga is more entertaining to watch as her alter ego, Joe Calderone. I will admit it, I liked the performance with the guitarist from Queen. I loved Dave Grohl’s(Foo Fighters, Nirvana) reaction to the dude from Queen even more.

David Grohl rocks. Don’t even try to argue with me.

I also loved when Lady Gaga fell off the piano. (thanks for pointing that out Sarah)

The show went on.

Let’s talk Adele. She looked stunning. Her performance was simple, elegant, heart wrenching, and beautiful. It was her, a piano, and a mic.  She received a standing ovation BEFORE she performed. That had to be intimidating…it’s like “Ok, they already love me and I havent even begun… I better hit every note.”  Which she did, she hit every note and you could kind of tell she was nervous but it was amazing. Speaking of amazing, her dress was gorgeous and I want it. Right now.

video(might be poor quality):

Then there was Chris Brown. He danced more than he sang. Well…he didn’t sing at all. It was all lipsync and you know, why does he even have a career any ways? He beat the living shit out of his girlfriend. Why would any self respecting woman still care for him? This is the 21st century, we’re supposed to be empowering women not accepting a low life singer after hitting his girlfriend. Like the Spice Girls say, “Girl Power!!!”

Chris Brown, your cool jumpy tricks wont impress me. gtfo.

There was Beyonce who, on the “black” carpet,  revealed tha she and hubs Jay Z were having their first child by putting her hands around her out -of-no-where-belly. I mean, seriously, she must have just popped.

It gets way better, during her performance later that evening, she un buttoned her vest and rubbed her belly while husband JayZ grinned from ear to ear. It was a seriously precious moment. ..except Kanye, he had to be in that shot.

They ended it with a tribute to Amy Winehouse which …I dont know…Russell Brand could have acted a little more sad. The video of Amy and Tony Bennett almost made me cry. I loved it.

Speaking of Tributes, the tribute to Britney Spears was great but why did they have to have her introduce someone when she was thanking everyone for her award. I thought that was sort of tactless.

and also speaking of tributes,

The Hunger Games preview blowed. It was just Katniss running around a forest shooting at stuff while Gale telling her what to do was the background noise.

MTV was smart to leave the THG preview for the end though. They would have lost 1/2 their viewers if they did it in the middle.

welp. that was it. Hope you liked my synopsis.
