A Eulogy – The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Movie Poster

It never even saw the light of production, heard ‘cut’ yelled across set, or heard a scream in a sound stage. The follow up movie to The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, has been shut down before it even started production. Due to low numbers from the first film, Sony has decided to ‘delay’ production of City of Ashes…indefinitely.

We here at justjmac are indefinitely saddened by this delay. Besides one or two slightly corny bits it was a quite pleasant movie to watch. Now, I don’t know if one could follow it if they hadn’t read the books but still… they should just go ahead and make it for our sake.

le sad.

NEW POST: EW Releases Divergent Goodies!

The new issue of EW comes out on Friday, 6/21, and the cover features Veronica Roth’s most beloved characters (and the JustJmac Team’s favorite), Tris and Four.

If you have a Facebook, you can follow the link and watch the exclusive behind the scenes video of the EW cover shoot with Theo James and Shailene Woodley. I believe Shailene considers Theo masculine… 😉

SNEAK PEEK: Theo James as Four

Hold on ladies, try not to scream or faint but…
Dear word look at Theo James as Tobias “Four” Eaton, the mysterious–and super dreamy–Dauntless leader that takes a special interest in Beatrice Prior (Shailene Woodley). in the film adaptation of Divergent.

Uhm….you’re welcome.

Reminder:  if you’re at work or school, try to keep it together.

PS: Holy hell, I can’t wait for the shirtless scenes. I am just a plain sucker for tattoos.

NEW The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Trailer

We are SO excited to see The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones film adaptation. The new trailer is a bit longer and leaves us counting down the days until August (and also feeling kind of sad for Simon!)

Also, can we talk about how I totally don’t mind Lilly Collins big eyebrows? Like… sure, they’re big but at least they are manicured. Some people just have the bone structure to pull it off. Imagine her with out those eyebrows…she might look funny.

NEW Divergent Movie Still

Divergent movie: Tris in Knife Throwing scene

It’s not even in production for a MONTH and we already have a still from the movie– better yet, FROM THE KNIFE FIGHTING SCENE! (a pivotal scene between Tris and Four). If you couldn’t tell, we at justjmac are very excited for this film!

Shailene Woodley (Tris) talked to EW recently and had this to say about making the movie:

“It’s a good group [of actors and actresses],” she says. “We’re hanging out on weekends, celebrating birthdays. Everyone just wants to get to know one another. It’s rare to get a big group together and not have any conflicts. It’s really kind of amazing.”

Now we just have to wait 10 months, 3 week to see the movie!

Title Revealed for Book 3 of the Divergent Series

Allegiant! That’s the title of the 3rd and final installment of Veronica Roth’s hit series, set to release October 22, 2013.

“You gotta have the -ent (ending),'” Roth, 24, told USA TODAY’s Brian Truitt when he interviewed her about Insurgent last year. Roth has been Jokingly called the 3rd book in the series “Detergent” when discussing the book on her blog. She’s so funny, that Veronica Roth.

We are going to have a lot Divergent activity this year with the new book coming out and the Divergent movie, which is currently being filmed in Chicago.

So what do you think of the name? A hit or a miss?

First ‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ trailer will make you wish it was November already

So we can only expect ultimate devastation from a longer trailer, or the movie itself. This doesn’t even introduce us to even half the story. I’m so glad to see Philip Seymour Hoffman and Donald Sutherland featured, explaining how Panem will be manipulated into hating our heroine Katniss. Also, don’t get me started on that Gale whipping scene…
