This page is meant to give you some background on our writers. Hence all the useless, boring information you are about to read. But, HEY you’re the one who clicked “Meet The Team.”
I moved to California to Texas in 2010 to finish school. I am OFFICIALLY a college graduate (WOOP-WOOP!) as of December 2012 and am back in southern California. My real life job, the one that pays the bills, is a social media coordinator. My goal is to one day work as a social media manager in the entertainment industry.
There are several reasons why I started this blog in September ’09. I’ve always had an opinion. Sometimes (most of the time?) it’s unwanted. I don’t know why, can’t explain it, but I am a plethora of knowledge when it comes to the entertainment industry. Celebrities, singers, movies, gossip A list to D list, I can name it all.
I’m also a well rounded nerd. Books are another hot item on my list. I actually restricted the amount of novels I was allowed to read while I was in school because if this was a game of rock, paper, scissors…books trump homework. Every. time. I also love music. Pretty much all music minus scream-o (thank you but if I wanted to hear screaming, I’d go to a pediatrician’s office).
Besides that stuff, I am an avid equestrian, I have a dog named Kona, and never ending love for photography, yoga and hiking. I can also get political every once and awhile so hold your horses if you hate it and just skip that post.
I’m Sarah, currently 22 years old and I reside in the grand state of Michigan. I am currently not going to school, but when I choose to return, my goal is to persue cosemetology. I just recently got married in April 2012, to my best friend of five years, Chris. I love Jesus, Giada De Laurentiis, Robert Pattinson, Paramore, and the Detroit Red Wings.
Why blog? Ever since I was little, I was addicted to E! News, VH1, and MTV. Now a days, I stray away from E! News or any other TV media outlet and I stick to Twitter. It’s become the main source of up-to-the-minute information. Mainly, I just like to rant and rave about my favorite tv shows, or my favorite actors and their wrong choice of women, Leo I’m talking to you, Kate can’t wait forever. I love movies, I also love talking about them after. That’s the best part, right? Gathering “’round the water cooler” and talking about the weekends best blockbuster or your favoirte shows. Another thing I love to do, is read. Books, have become a life line of mine. I am one of the crazies that will proudly admit Twilight made me interested in reading again. I hope to one day own a room, that I can proudly call my library.
I hope that I can make Jmac proud, and keep you update with information that I think you should be aware of. 😉
Hi! My name is Chris.
I am 22 years old, born in Detroit, Michigan and currently reside in the Metro-Detroit area. And yes, I have been to 8 mile! I work in Ohio for a large same-day delivery/logistics company and study business in college. In April 2012, I married the love of my life and my best friend, Sarah. I am very passionate about sports! I love the Red Wings, Pistons, Tigers, and Lions. I am a huge University of Michigan fan (GO BLUE!). I also am obsessed with football. Not American football, but real football (or soccer as you might call it). I follow European Club soccer very closely and also International soccer. My favorite teams are Chelsea FC and Real Madrid. I like to read business and historical books. I also enjoy news and current events. I look forward to sharing my insights on sports and the world with you!
I’m 21 years old and I currently reside in North Carolina, just a short drive outside of Charlotte. I’m a senior Early Childhood Education major. I’m a bookworm (currently devouring anything and all YA books), music lover (I have very eclectic tastes), and a frequent cooking show watcher. I’d like to eventually move to the Los Angeles area and hope to one day live out my dream of working in entertainment journalism for an outlet like E! or MTV. From a young age, I always had a fascination and obsession with celebrities and pop culture, often acting as a walking encyclopedia for my family members who might have been behind on the latest Hollywood gossip. Through a series of fortunate events in the last few years I’ve found myself immersed in the the world of Twitter and fansites; contributing to some and owning a few of my own, which has only fueled my pop culture addiction.
My name is Lindsay! I’m a 30-something mom of three. I live in Texas where it’s far too hot, and spend plenty of time enjoying pop culture, TV, the internet, and reading books. I’ve been blogging for years, first on my own personal blog, then for several years on a pretty big Twilight fan site. Now I co-admin a Hunger Games fan site, blog on a personal family blog, and do general pop culture obsession via text, email, Twitter and Facebook. I love YA books, watching TV, reading gossip blogs, and forcing my love for those things on other people.
I am the old lady over here topping the group off at 30! I mean um, uh… 29!! That’s believable right!? I’ve been married for 11 years to my high school sweet-heart Chris and we have 3 beautiful daughters, Cydney, Lilly and Bella. I am a born and raised Cali girl. So I’m blonde… “naturally” of course! 😉
I went to cosmetology school when I was 19. I worked in Cosmetics at Nordstrom for 6 years until we moved to Sacramento and since then I have been a stay at home mom. I started blogging to give me something to call “mine!” I enjoy writing and sharing my opinion on various subjects. I am a total book nerd. The best birthday present I have ever got was my nook. I fell in love with reading again in 2008 when I was on bedrest with my 3rd daughter and someone said “You’ve got to read these vampire books! They are so good!”, my daughter was born 6 months later and I named her Bella so you can probably guess what books THOSE were! Yup. I’m one of “them”. Although my love for ‘Twilight’ has decreased over the years I am a total fan girl. If I love something… I fully support it. I’m a passionate person, I can’t help it! It’s just who I am. I enjoy seeing movies and keeping up with all things pop culture. I’m a sucker for E Red Carpet shows and boring my husband with award shows. I love all things Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. (Team Stefan!) I love baseball and am a huge San Francisco Giants fan. I bleed the Orange and Black! I’m also a “Krisbian”- aka I adore Kristin Stewart.
